Kerrie is the Country Head in HIGHVERN’s Guernsey office and part of the senior team in the pan-island Private Wealth department. After working for several years as a paralegal, Kerrie was admitted as a Solicitor of England and Wales in 2008 and called to the Guernsey Bar in 2009. She has practised as a senior lawyer in several leading offshore law firms, most recently as a Partner at Bedell Cristin. Following this she ran her own boutique private wealth legal practice for two years, specialising in legal services for fiduciaries and private clients. Kerrie has extensive experience of advising on complex, high-value structures, including trusts, foundations and corporate entities, set up by HNWIs and entrepreneurs. At HIGHVERN, Kerrie uses her industry experience and knowledge, and her technical skills, in working with clients and their advisers to set up and administer robust structures, tailored to each individual client’s specific circumstances and requirements.
Kerrie is also Chair of the Guernsey Association of Trustees, which represents and promotes Guernsey’s fiduciary sector. In that role, she regularly engages with stakeholders, including the regulator and government, on behalf of the industry and contributes to consultations on changes to legislation and regulation affecting Guernsey’s financial services industry.
