We recognise that safeguarding the planet’s future requires collective action.

At HIGHVERN we are firmly committed to integrating Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) considerations into all aspects of our policies, processes, and culture. The United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) serve as a guiding framework for this initiative.

To ensure the effective implementation of this, we have established an ESG Committee which is responsible for overseeing and driving the organisation’s ESG projects, recommending objectives and offering guidance for continual improvement.

With an ambitious ESG Plan in place we are firmly committed to achieving these deliverables with the support of our key stakeholders across all jurisdictions. By prioritising sustainability, HIGHVERN seeks to create a brighter future for generations to come.

Environmental

All businesses have a responsibility to consider environmental factors in their daily practices. HIGHVERN has therefore made a conscious effort to incorporate environmental factors such as carbon emissions calculations, energy efficiency and sustainable resource management into our decision-making processes.

We are committed to working alongside companies that share our values and prioritise sustainability. By supporting these businesses, we aim to contribute to a more sustainable future and reduce our collective environmental impact. HIGHVERN believes that by supporting sustainable and responsible business practices, it can promote long-term value creation for its clients, contributing to a more sustainable and resilient planet.

Social

Significant importance is placed on HIGHVERN’s social responsibility through our business operations including fair labour practices, community engagement and diversity and inclusion initiatives.

Our commitment extends to partnerships with other businesses that share similar values and who contribute positively to their communities. HIGHVERN regularly supports local charities, projects and community initiatives in the areas where we operate to improve life and leave a lasting legacy.

HIGHVERN has well-being representatives throughout the organisation to promote and sustain a positive workplace culture, providing employees with paid volunteer days to use and other benefits to promote their well-being.

Governance

Good governance is a cornerstone of responsible and sustainable business practice, so it is imperative that we work alongside those businesses and organisations that have robust governance structures and processes, in order to maintain HIGHVERN’s high standards.

We have to date have made valuable contributions to working party groups that help shape legislation relating to ESG issues. HIGHVERN is an active member of Eco Active Jersey, and our team are part of the Green Team Network in Ireland, further demonstrating commitment to promoting sustainability and responsible business practices.

By integrating strong governance considerations into our operations, we are future-proofing HIGHVERN and promoting transparent, ethical, and responsible business practices that will contribute to a more equitable and fair society.
