What do you believe sets HIGHVERN apart from other financial services providers?
We’re fairly unique in having a director-led model, where clients remain our Directors’ focus for the duration of the client relationship. Having some client relationships as old as our business, we know continuity is an important factor when it comes to appointing a fiduciary company. Our clients benefit from the assurance that the relationship manager they build a rapport with will be there in years to come.
What goals would you like to achieve in your future at HIGHVERN?
It’s my ambition to double the size of the Guernsey business inside of five years. On top of the many things that Covid taught us, it was that the future is full of uncertainties and change, but even in the midst of an unprecedented environment of accelerating change, it doesn’t hurt to have long-term goals. Being relatively new to the Guernsey market, we also have a strong focus on business development. A big part of our growth strategy is demonstrating what we’re capable of, increasing brand awareness and subsequently attracting the right people to join our team who will share our brand vision and uphold our exceptional client service.
How do you feel HIGHVERN ‘sets the standard’ in Guernsey?
We are a firm of talented, professional individuals who are dedicated to the brand, and who strive to work cohesively and collectively as a single group. We are agnostic as to which part of the group we work for; we simply work together for the benefit of all our stakeholders.
What’s the best thing about working at HIGHVERN?
Shared dedication and direction gives me a lot of satisfaction in my role. Our team are very supportive of each other both in Guernsey and cross-jurisdictionally. I also love the challenges my role brings and the diversity of my daily agenda. It keeps me on my toes and motivated!
What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given?
“If a job is worth doing, it is worth doing it properly.” This is something we strive to do at HIGHVERN, even when things get tough, standards are everything. I’m also someone who takes a lot of pride in doing a job well, so client satisfaction is very important to me.
What did you want to be when you were little?
I’ve loved animals for as long as I can remember and when I was younger dreamed of becoming a marine biologist or vet… basically anything that works with animals.
