HIGHVERN is proud to sponsor bestselling author, photographer, and explorer Levison Wood at the Guernsey Literary Festival 2025. As part of the Festival’s headline events, Wood will present his latest work, The Great Tree Story – How Forests Have Shaped Our World, at St James on 30th April.
With a lifetime spent exploring remote and challenging environments, Wood’s latest book is a deep dive into the role forests have played in shaping our planet. This event, chaired by renowned journalist and broadcaster Toby Lichtig, will offer audiences a thought-provoking discussion.
“We are excited to welcome Levison to this year’s Festival,” said Claire Allen, Festival Director. “His storytelling captivates audiences, and his experiences exploring the world’s most extreme places make him an inspiring speaker.”
HIGHVERN’s sponsorship demonstrates its growing support for the literary arts across the Channel Islands. Having been the main corporate sponsor of the Jersey Festival of Words for three consecutive years, HIGHVERN is now extending its support to the celebration of the written word in Guernsey as well.
Kerrie Le Tissier, Country Head – Guernsey at HIGHVERN, said, “The Festival is always an inspiring event and a fantastic opportunity to engage with celebrated authors. We are delighted to support Levison Wood’s event and to be part of this celebration of literature on the Island. His latest book resonates with our own ESG principles at HIGHVERN, where we recognise that safeguarding the planet’s future requires collective action. The exploration of forests’ impact on our planet is an essential dialogue, and we are honoured to support such an insightful discussion as part of the event.”
