Donovin Pombo

Donovin is the Country Head of HIGHVERN’s South Africa office. He is responsible for establishing and leading HIGHVERN’s presence in the region, driving the development of a robust South African capability across Corporate Services and Fund Administration while closely aligning with the group’s global standards and jurisdictional strategy.

Donovin brings extensive international experience across the fund services industry, having held senior leadership, product, and operational roles in South Africa, London, and Luxembourg. With a background that spans fund accounting, financial reporting, product development, technology integration, and large-scale operational delivery, he has built a reputation for combining technical expertise with transformational leadership.

Before joining HIGHVERN, Donovin served as Managing Director and Regional Delivery Centre Head for a large professional services firm, where he established and scaled a 250-person delivery operation in Cape Town. His earlier global roles included Product Director for Fund Services and Global Funds Directorship, focusing on technology-enabled client delivery, fund onboarding and the evolution of fund services operating models across multiple jurisdictions. Donovin also spent several years in Luxembourg specialising in system architecture, fund accounting, investor reporting, automation, and BI-driven solutions for PE/VC and alternative investment structures.

He holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Economics and Finance from the University of Cape Town.
