HIGHVERN is Climate Positive with Rewild Carbon

HIGHVERN is proud to announce following completion of its carbon footprint calculations for last year, that its Jersey office was climate positive for 2021. The multi-award winning provider of private wealth, corporate and fund services has signed up to Durrell’s Rewild Carbon initiative in order to offset its carbon footprint for 2021, plus offsetting an additional 25% as part of the climate positive scheme.

HIGHVERN’s ESG Committee carefully evaluated several carbon offsetting projects before deciding to invest in Rewild Carbon. This project not only facilitates the replanting of trees in the Atlantic Forest, but revives ecosystems, rebuilding livelihoods and ultimately leading to the recovery of species.

Ellen Hibbs, ESG Committee Chair, said: “We are very proud to announce ourselves as a climate positive business, something which we hope will become standard practice in the business world. Rewild Carbon is a local, impactful project but with a global reach and we are pleased to be supporting its goal of regenerating ecosystems. Our aim is to extend our ESG commitments across the wider HIGHVERN group and to further invest in such worthwhile causes.”
