Following the recent announcement of a strategic acquisition of OAK Fund Services Guernsey (subject to customary regulatory approvals), HIGHVERN is continuing to invest in its Guernsey funds platform. We are expanding our local team as we build further capability on the Island, underlining our long-term commitment to Guernsey as a leading international finance centre
Key Accountabilities:
- Ensure up to date and accurate bookkeeping of all fund and corporate structures.
- Preparation of bank reconciliations for a portfolio of clients, including analysis of cash payments and receipts.
- An initial set-up of entity, investor and other data cards as required in the accounting system.
- Preparation and proofing of statutory financial statements, specialised investor and other reporting within client / regulatory timescales.
- Independently lead the client audit process.
- Provide proactive query management and resolution for items raised by colleagues, clients, their advisors and auditors.
- Provision of exceptional service levels and client experience for clients and related parties throughout the whole life-cycle.
- Adherence to all company workflows, policies and procedures.
Requirements:
- Understanding of the requirements of quality client service.
- Good knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP.
- Ability to demonstrate a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Deadline oriented; ability to work collaboratively and flexibly.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, together with attention to detail, are required to develop close working relationships with colleagues, clients and business contacts.
- Sound technical financial services knowledge including up to date knowledge of regulatory and legal requirements.
- Ability to deal with tasks independently.
- Studying towards ACCA / ACA or equivalent.
