KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Lead a high performing team of fund administrators for a portfolio of client relationships, providing guidance, coaching, and mentoring to help them achieve their goals and deliver high-quality service to our clients.
  • Highly effective day-to-day management of client relationships allocated, deepening client penetration & service excellence in line with our vision & values.
  • Act as a subject matter expert and point of escalation for any issues or challenges that arise in the course of delivering fund administration services to our clients.
  • Monitor your team’s performance including against effective KPI management across all allocated client relationships to the expected standard, ensuring adherence with Highvern Group policy, procedures, legal and regulatory requirements at all times.
  • Increasing client profitability through appropriate strategies addressing parts of your book where acceptable returns are not/have little prospect of, being met and ensuring activity fees are maximised while balancing our value for money but commercial priorities.
  • In line with business growth attract, train and retain high quality staff.
  • Effective contribution and support as necessary to the wider director team with projects and the maintenance of the operational framework of Highvern Fund Administrators Guernsey Limited, including: design and maintenance of effective policies, procedures and processes; ensuring timely implementation and staff are trained on their use; and ongoing review of efficiency and effectiveness of core processes and service levels.
  • Contribute to, and assist with, developing and executing business strategies to drive growth and profitability for the business.
  • Positive collaboration across the wider business to support compliance, revenue growth, governance, planning and continuous improvement.
  • Participate in business development initiatives, including client pitches and intermediary meetings, and proactive raising of your and Highvern’s profile in industry, through social media, event attendance/participation, articles etc.

 

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

  • Authorised corporate and client signatory in line with approved limits.
  • Principal person for GFSC purposes if required.
  • Acting as a Director on client boards.
  • Chair/member of operating committees as required.
  • Maintenance of CPD and up to date technical awareness and industry / regulatory knowledge.

 

 

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • 10 years’ relevant industry experience and must have demonstrable experience of working in a funds environment at associate director level and above.
  • Proven enhanced technical expertise in the administration of private capital strategies, such as private equity and venture capital.
  • Ideally, previous principal person experience in funds sector, but not a prerequisite.
  • Business development experience, including pitching to prospective clients.
  • Comprehensive understanding and knowledge of relevant regulatory and legal requirements.
  • Track record demonstrating ability to progress range of issues and projects simultaneously including business development, team management, client management, compliance and related matters.
  • Proven ability in developing relationships with fund clients and senior industry professionals.
  • Management experience of recruiting, retaining and motivating teams.
  • Collaborative team player with strong interpersonal skills.
  • High quality communication skills – verbal, presentational and written

 

PREFERRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • ·Professionally qualified either as a chartered secretary/ICSA, chartered accountant (or equivalent) or lawyer and/or relevant business-oriented / economics degree/masters.
